Presidency of ANUC in 2026

On 20th January, the ANUC Board gathered in a meeting to validate the transfer of the presidency in 2026 to the Romanian Writers` Union (USR), led by Varujan Vosganian, reputed writer and former Minister of Finances.

The ANUC Board appreciated that the current period seems to be very difficult for arts and culture in general, not necessary due to the financial austerity of the Government. Lack of vision, weakness of strategy, attempts to reduce creators` rights add to the budgetary distress. ANUC will campaign against threats to creativity, mitigation of role and status of the art creators and interpreters in society.
